In Atlanta, Georgia there has been another incident at the CNN Centre where a man walked through the centre with a gun and threatened people. Police shot Lonnie Jevon Lewis and wounded him in the leg when he fled to Centennial Olympic Park. He is now in police custody. Apparently, Mr. Lewis was depressed and wanted suicide by cop.
In other news, Anthony LaCalamita III has been charged in the murder of Madeline Kafoury and the attempted murder of Paul Riva and Alan Steinberg. LaCalamita had used a Remington 870 pump-action shotgun to kill Ms. Kafoury and to wound Riva and Steinberg. The Remington 870 is used, in civilian ownership, for target practice. For police, it can dispense tear gas and rubber bullets. Mr. Riva is unconscious and on a ventilator, Mr . Steinberg is recovering but both men are still at Beaumont Hospital.
