Okay, it's official. Republican Texas legislators, with few exceptions, are stupid. In reaction to the Virginia Tech shootings, Governor Rick Perry has decided to introduce legislation to make it easier to carry concealed weapons with the addled thought that people can defend themselves against criminals. This despite evidence that access to guns make it more likely that people will kill themselves (and others) if there is gun availability. Hopefully,any legislation to loosen gun control laws in Texas will fail.Technorati Tags: guns ,rick perry,texas
